Structure and Function of Tension Gas Springs

Contrary to compression gas springs, a tension gas spring is in a contracted state under natural conditions. After the piston rod is pulled out by an external force, the piston rod will retract automatically once the external force is removed.

The surface of the tube body is treated with baking paint, and the piston rod undergoes hard chrome plating/QPQ (Quench-Polish-Quench) treatment.
